There were so many moments in this trip that just grabbed me.
I went down to Charleston, SC with my lady to visit some of my best friends, Phil&Alex. We had some silly adventures eating, recollecting and making new memories, almost always around food! The lot of us love to cook and eat so we made sure to spend some time in the kitchen having fun trying out something new. Having come to Charleston for a second time I had certain places to visit again like the Foley Beach and The Wich Doctor, but I also had to make sure to spend a little more time walking the streets of downtown. If you ever get the chance explore from King St to the Market and then to the battery, where they still have cannons aimed at the shore. Walking those streets, the feel of the people was very unique to this city, from their artisans to their salesmen/women, a certain type of vibrancy that was a bit intoxicating (It’s possible that spending the day drinking local cocktails and beer contributed to this feeling). However, every year a part of me wants to move down to this city more and more. It has a certain charm, and I can go on about every little shop I went into or every little detail about how much fun I had cooking and hanging out but it’s just better to show you.
I Hope you enjoy!

I love the colors.

I saw more bow ties on men than regular ties, everywhere I went.

I have never seen anyone eat popcorn like this…

No trip south is complete without some fried green tomatoes.

Found another good friend in living in the Holy City. Definitely check out Hyman’s Seafood.

This was more than a pound of seafood. I didn’t even bother with the potato!

So it turns out my good friend Phil helped the restaurant owner change his tire in the highway. Kindness has its sweet, delicious perks.

This is the coffee shop owner bragging about how coffee “should be made” hahaha Coastal Coffee Roasters

Coffee shop owner’s son is also in the business, he is the master roaster.

They have a pretty hip back room where they host concerts.

For all my love of coffee this was the closest I have ever been to a roaster.

When going about Charleston, you will notice quite a bit of Bill Murray dedicated spots. He has a home in the city and is often seen walking about. I like to think of him like this, Bill Murray is to Charleston as Dave Chappelle is to Dayton.

This hilarious puppy has a stress pillow she tosses around when she is being neglected. What you see before you are the remnants of said stress pillow.
